Product Description Made in Britain. The Masons Pitcher or Pitching Chisel is a typical stone masons tool used to remove unwanted stone i.e. roughly chiselling a stone or masonry block down to the required size and pitch the surface to dress the stone as required. Used in conjunction with a hammer. The angle of the blade means it doesn't have to be used at a right angle and a sideways swing can be used. The Footprint Pitching Chisel consists of the following: - Forged from high quality carbon steel - Back of the blade continues the line of the shaft making it flat - On the blade side the blade tapers down to a c.6mm bevelled blade - Hexagonal Shaft - Hardened and tempered blade to provide a strong and long lasting cutting edge - Can be re-sharpened Footprint still manufacture most of their products in the UK to the highest standards.
