This is the original Fisher Space Pen used in 1968 after 2 years of testing by NASA on the Fisher 7 space mission and has been used on all manned space flights ever since. The design and construction of this pen have not changed for 36 years. The pen you buy today is exactly the same as the one that was brought to the moon in 1969. It is a heavy pen and the weight is soothing in the hand when writing. The AG7-BTN is made of solid brass and has a black titanium nitride finish. It has a very positive and substantial click mechanism. You press down at the top to extend the lead and press the side button to retract the lead. The special design ensures that you will always retract the point.
