With a surge in sales of electric vehicles and chargers there is a need to advise and inform about the actions required to deal with fires involving electric vehicles/batteries, and the method for summoning the emergency services. Lithium-ion batteries of all shapes and sizes have the potential to cause significant fire damage and often requires specialist extinguishing agents to suppress the fire.
