Ferrari & Arrighetti Saint Rita of Cascia Statue in Hand-Painted Plaster (20 cm)
Product description
The statue - made of finely hand-painted plaster - depicts Saint Rita of Cascia, one of the most popular and heart-felt Roman Catholic characters. Also referred to as "Rita of Cascia", she was a widow and later became an Augustinian nun. She is, in fact, the patron saint of the Impossible, of the abused wives and the widows. She was stung by a thorn of the crown of the crucifix in her forehead, and she had to bear the stigmata. Her symbols are the bees, roses, and thorns. She is here depicted with a crucifix. Its gold-colour and brown make the holy item stands out on the very solid black tunic. At her feet, there's a rose, her symbolic flower. This 20 cm high statue of Saint Rita of Cascia is 100% crafted in Italy and stands out for the quality of its workmanship and the skilful use of colours. The rendering of the solid colouring and the lines of the piece enrich the figure with further depth and visual impact. The Rita of Cascia statue is suitable for small niches and places of worship, but it can also be displayed at home as an ornament or in a display case. The light of votive candles or spotlights will make this piece even more eye-catching. Due to the painting by hand, the colouring might vary and each statue is somehow a unique piece.
