- The VENETIAN STYLE of our faux wood blinds means you can easily control how much light enters your home. Using the cords, you can tilt the horizontal slats to let light filter through, close them completely, or raise/lower the entire blind. Decorative tapes add a touch of color and style while also increasing privacy and blocking more light, as they cover the routed holes in each slat.
- VERSATILE AND GREAT VALUE, our UPVC faux wood blinds are waterproof and easy-to-clean, making them the ideal option for bathrooms and kitchens, or any other room in the house. Bathrooms and kitchen sink windows can have additional moisture in the air and because of this we don’t recommend you put a real wood venetian blind in your bathroom as the wood will begin to absorb the moisture and warp.
- Areas that have high levels of moisture or humidity would be better suited to the non-porous faux wooden blinds as they are resistant to warping. Faux wood blinds will be a lot more forgiving when it comes to sharp changes in temperature, high levels of moisture and water marks from sink splashes. In these scenarios we see faux wood blinds as a popular choice.
- The main area that provides a risk to the child is the dangling cords, of which there could be a number of loops. The ends of these cords should be secured at the bottom by a breakaway tassel, which comes as standard with our venetian blinds. A venetian blind breakaway tassel serves the purpose of neatly holding all the ends of the cords. The breakaway part comes when weight is applied, which will cause the plastic to separate. It is very easy to put back together once it has been separated.
- A venetian blind cleat allows you to wrap the cord around it when it is not in use. This stores the cord out of reach of children and helps to keep the cord looking neat. To shorten the drop, you can easily remove bottom slats from the blinds.
