This item can be used to prevent pressure build up and vacuum formation which will severely reduce the flow rate. They can be used in irrigation systems, water butts, filters, jerry cans and many other liquid storage containers depending on which variation you choose. If fitting to a container, make sure that it is as close as possible to the top to enable efficient operation. VARIATIONS AVAILABLE 1) Vacuum Breaker with 1/2" BSP Thread 2) Vacuum Breaker with 3/4" BSP Thread 3)Vacuum Breaker with 1" BSP Thread 4) Vacuum Breaker with 2" BSP Thread 5) Vacuum Breaker with 3/4" Tank Adapter Fitting 6) Vacuum Breaker and DIN 61 (S60X6) Screw Cap Items 1-4 are designed for screwing into an existing female BSP thread. Please Note that BSP thread measurements are not the same as ruler measurements (they vary by about 1/4") Item 5 can be used to add a vacuum breaker into any container after drilling a suitable sized hole. A sealing ring and securing nut are included. Remember to add these items to the top of the container at a point where you can get your hand inside to tighten the nut. Item can be used to add a vacuum breaker as a replacement cap on any container with the DIN 61 coarse thread (S60X6)
