FAMAG 15mm Classic Metric Forstner Bit, 1630015 - Traditional Forstner bit with centre point, two main cutting edges and two circumferential cutters. Low friction due to the reduced peripheral cutting edge. Tear free accurate holes in soft wood, glued laminated timber etc. Specially suitable for freehand boring with a drilling machine. This bit obtained the first position in an important test of Forstner bits in the U.S. published in "Fine Woodworking 04.2008". For hard wood we recommend the rapid Forstner bit Bormax® of our product line 1622 or the TCT-Bormax³ of our product line 1663. Alloyed tool steel. 700 - 2800 rpm. e.g. Ø 35 mm 1000 rpm in soft wood.
