• HANDMADE: Expertly crafted using both contemporary and traditional methods, each one is bound by hand and sturdy enough to keep all your most treasured memories safe. The leather used for the cover is a by-product of the meat industry in India and is tanned using only natural dyes. Protected with natural oils, it will soften and age beautifully. The embossed detail is created using small handmade tools, making each journal unique. The pattern might not be exactly the same as the one pictured, but it will be just as beautiful.
• RECYCLED: The pages are created from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi). This sustainable material is crafted by hand from recycled cotton, salvaged from the huge waste of the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, ensuring the paper is acid-free. Lightly textured and luxuriously thick, it feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. While it’s perfect for ball-point pens, gel pens, or watercolours, we wouldn’t recommend it for use with fountain pens.
• TRADITIONAL: Photos can be placed inside the photo album with glue, spray mount, or a pack of clear, self-adhesive photo corners.
• UNIQUE: Due to the nature of the material and handmade quality of this product, each album is unique and comes with its own set of beautiful creases, bumps and marks that develop with age into something truly special.

These handmade, fair trade and eco friendly leather covered photo albums are made by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. The 30 pages are made with khadda paper, which is made from recycled cotton that has been left over from the garment industry in India. They are handmade and don’t contain any chemicals as we only use unbleached cotton. The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages. Each of these leather albums have been carefully stitched around the outside to give a more intrepid feel. The leather has been tanned by our suppliers and the albums have been crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional skills. The embossing has been created using small individual handmade tools making each album unique. The pages have been bound by hand so they are strong and built to last. Due to the plain pages, these beautiful books don’t have to be used as a photo album, they’re also perfect to use as a scrap book and the paper is great for water-colour painting. As these products are individual, rustic and handmade, the colour and designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard. We are a fair trade company and regularly visit our suppliers to ensure the highest standards are met. We pay our suppliers 50% upfront and send money to them whenever they need it and we never send anything back.
