Product description
The TELRAD viewfinder is a tracking finder that can be installed on any telescope and makes the alignment of the telescope with the starry sky child's play. The TELWHEEL viewfinder is a practical alternative to classic optical viewfinders and light point viewfinders. You can see the complete starry sky without magnification, and not just a small cut-out like a normal optical viewfinder. Against this background of the starry sky, three red glowing concentric rings are projected, with apparent diameters of 4 degrees, 2ยฐ and 0.5ยฐ in the sky. Swivel the telescope so that the object you are looking for is in the innermost ring, and you're done, the telescope points in the right direction. Because the object you are looking for is inside the ring, it will not be overshone like a normal light point viewfinder. The base of the TELRAD viewfinder is self-adhesive and can be attached to all telescopic tubes from about 10 cm diameter. The length of the base is about 18 cm. This base remains on the telescopic tube, the TELWHEEL finder itself can be removed or placed at any time using the attached quick coupling. The TELRAD is powered by two normal AA batteries (not included). There are star atlases, such as the "Deep Sky Travel Atlas" of the Oculum publishing house, and planetarium programs for the PC, such as the "Stellarium" program, in which the three rings of the TELRAD are already drawn to scale around the interesting celestial objects or can be displayed. This makes searching for these celestial objects really a walk.
