Avoid touching the drum/contact area (for toner) or printhead/nozzle (for ink). Installation (Toner / Ink) Gently rock the new cartridge side to side several times to distribute the toner/ink evenly. Remove the protective cover or clip. Pull off the sealing tape/strip completely. Power off the printer, insert the cartridge firmly into the slot, and close the cover.
