No doubt one of the most stunning plants around! Euonymus alatus is a dense, bushy, deciduous shrub. Its dark green, oval-shaped leaves turn spectacular shades of red in autumn. The branchlets of this winged spindle often develop corky wings, which are revealed after all the leaves are shed. It flowers in April and May with small green blooms, followed by purplish-red fruits, splitting to reveal orange seeds. Ideal for planting in cottage or low maintenance gardens.
