ERA Euros cylinders are recommended for PVCU and timber doors. Most commonly they are used in PVCU door locks and can be easily recognised by their disticntive oversized keyhole shape. Euro cylinders are easily replaced/removed by removing the retaining screw from the edge of the door (Closeing face) adjacent to the cylinder. with the screw removed and key in the cylinder, simply turn the key slightly until the cyclinder can be pulled or pushed from its location. ERA Thumbturn cylinders are operated via key from the external side of the door and Thumbturn from inside.. The mechanism has anti-pick pins to prevent lockpicking. Euro cylinders should be sized from the centre of the cylinder cam measuring to both outer edges of the Cylinder. (note the cam is not always dead centre to the cylinder body).
