Product Description Epigenar Vitamin D3 is a hormone which is naturally produced in humans by the skin when UVB light connects with the cells and converts cholesterol to pre-vitamin D, which is then converted to D3 (Cholecalciferol) in the liver. It is estimated that 20 minutes of sun exposure in the summer months produce 20000 IU of vitamin D3. Vitamin D has a number of important roles to play in the body. Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin which may help to direct calcium to build strong bones. It also plays a role in blood clotting. The vitamin K in this formula is menaquinone (mk7) derived from natto. One drop of Epigenar Vitamin D3 and K2 contains 1000IU of vitamin D3 and 12 mcg of vitamin K2 in a base of sunflower oil.
