• When applied to the lawn, the lawn sand falls past and in between grass, onto the soil or thatch layer. This means that the grass is not scorched by the effects of the lawn sand. Lawn sand contains nitrogen and iron, to give your lawn a boost all year round, leaving it a healthy green colour.
• The ammonium sulphate content is a fertiliser that releases a high level of nitrogen. This release of nitrogen will help make your lawn grass greener. Combined with the iron sulphate and the fine sand that helps with the even distribution of the chemicals, the spreading of lawn sand can help your lawn and garden grass appear less patchy, and gain a much more even grass coverage
• Lawn sand works best when applied to your grass every 4-6 weeks over the late spring and throughout the summer. This regular use allows for surface moss and weeds to be slowly eradicated, and for the production of a healthy lawn. Gardeners should be careful though not to overuse the product
• The sulphur constituent also slightly acidifies the local grass environment making it less conducive to turf pathogens.
• CAUTION - Although necessary on lawns that are prone to stress such as shade, drought, water logging etc lawn sand should not be thrown at the lawn all the time. A good lawn care programme will help maintain a healthy vigorous lawn.

Do not apply when rain is imminent, during drought or in freezing conditions. . If rain does not fall within two days of application, water thoroughly. Grass should be cut three days before treatment and not cut for at least four days after. If spilt on paving, concrete or clothes, brush off immediately to avoid discolouration. . New lawns - do not use this product on newly sown grass or turf within the first six months. . Re-seeding bare patches - can be done 4 weeks after applying the product.ß Trees and Bulbs - The product can be used around trees in the lawn but avoid contact with the foliage.
