About this item
- Water based, weatherproof, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, chalk and mineral paint for wooden furniture. Also suitable for laminate, powder coated radiators, UPVC, ceramic wall tiles (we recommend avoiding very wet areas such as shower/bathtub). Can be used for interior walls - in this case dilution with up to 10% tap water is recommended for easier application.
- Also suitable for wood, concrete and most laminate floors with correct application - please note that maintenance may be required in these situations. Minimum VOC content without odour UKCA and EN71-3 certified (safe for use on children's toys) EN71-3:2019+A1:2021
- Ingredients: chalk, clay, titanium dioxide, resin, talc, preservative, self-priming - no primer or primer required - flat, almost no gloss self-sealing - requires no top coat for durability Self-levelling - so little to no brush marks are achievable - mould and algae resistant
- One 750ml can will cover a single coat of up to 12.5m². A minimum of 2 coats is required for a durable finish, so your 750ml can will provide full coverage for just over 6 square feet on non-porous surfaces such as laminate or metal. The limited edition of 500 ml is enough for a one-time coat of up to 8.5 m².
- Porous or "thirsty" surfaces such as bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint, meaning extra layers are required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 750ml can will provide less than 6m² of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, the durability may be affected.
- Make sure the surface is in a suitable condition for painting and is free of grease, wax or penetrating substances. If painted before, remove loose or peeling paint. Surface preparation required in addition to the above - clean with French sugar soap, rinse and dry thoroughly. Hand sanding to sand the surface. Wipe dust, wipe away paint
- Avoid painting in direct sunlight only when the air and surface temperatures are between 10°C and 32°C and the humidity is less than 85%. Do not apply if there is a chance of rain, frost, fog, condensation or the temperature drops below 10°C in the following 48 hours
- Especially outdoor wooden surfaces can retain moisture for up to 48 hours after rain or preparation. Make sure the items are thoroughly dry before painting. For ferrous metal, treat rust, remove loose or flaking coatings and sand smoothly - under these circumstances we recommend 2 coats of Frenchic Finishing Coat as a base for the paint.
- Apply with a high quality brush or roller. Also suitable for spraying - dilute with up to 15% tap water and additionally apply coat(s). To achieve a self-smoothing effect, avoid overworking the paint. Apply at least 2 hours between coats (even if the paint feels dry). Curing time (curing) is up to 3 weeks under normal conditions. Treat carefully until curing is complete.
- For floors, so as not to damage the finish, do not walk on the surface for 4 hours after painting and then with socks for the next 7 days. Also try to stop your pet's paws during this time. Do not let the surface get wet for at least a week. Treat the treatment for up to 3 weeks
