The E105 serial hand tap is for metric fine threads and is available in a very wide range of sizes from M2.5 to M50. All sizes come as either a single tapered tap or a set of three serial taps to be used one after the other in the same hole, creating a more accurate thread. The E105 taps are made from High Speed steel and have a bright finish to ensure work piece material does not stick to the cutting edge and so create a more accurate thread. The straight flute design means the taps can be used to thread both blind and through holes. E105 taps are manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization.
