C922 3-flute milling cutters from Dormer are designed for roughing and can be used when plunging, ramping and profile milling. They are manufactured from powder metal High Speed cobalt, with the improved performance and longer tool life you would expect. Further increasing the life of the tools, the Alcrona coating also improves performance with CNC machines when milling difficult to machine materials. Also for CNC machines, the 35 degree helix is yet another boost to performance and is also designed to reduce vibration. C922 roughing end mills come with a medium length flute with an HRA profile. This breaks up the chips for efficient roughing application and is suitable for milling steels, stainless steel and cast iron.
