Product Description A122 is a metric spotting drill so you would use it to start a hole in the material to be drilled so the start point is accurate. You may also use it to provide a countersink start to the hole by choosing a larger diameter than the hole you need and just drilling down to the countersink depth with this drill and then completing the hole with a smaller diameter drill. The A122 drill comes with either a 90 degree or 120 degree point angle, giving you two options of countersink. Manufactured from High Speed steel, A122 is suitable for drilling in many materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The drill comes with a steam oxide finish to stop work piece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the drill, giving you a better hole finish and more accurate diameter.
