Door Installation Clips – Door Install Kit Each kit contains 6 brackets and all the screws you'll need. That's enough for1 Complete Doorinstallation.Can be used for heavy or solid core doors, as well as French/Double Door. Shim-Less Door Installs · Works on Hollow-Core and heavy Solid-Core Doors! · No Shimming Required. Installation Instructions: 1. Attach Attach 1 DOOR INSTALL CLIP bracket behind each hinge. Attach the other 3 brackets directly across from the hinges on the opposite side of the door. 2. Mark Using a level, draw a “Plumb” line down the drywall, approximately 1/2” from the rough opening on the hinge side of the wall. MUST BE A PERFECTLY PLUMB (vertically level) line. 3. Install Place the door into the opening. Line up the top hinge side bracket’s reference notches with the “drawn” line from step 2. Screw in the top hinge side bracket. Use the same reference notch when screwing in the next two hinge side brackets. Door is now level. When screwing in the last three brackets, make sure the reveal/gap between the door and door frame is the same. For added support (or solid core door), remove a center screw from each hinge and replace with a 2” or longer screw that matches hinge finish (not included). If desired, shims may also be used for extra reinforcement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Out of Plane Walls or Wall Imperfections Before the installation of the trim/casing, the door can be slightly moved by bending the brackets (if needed). Average the corners in/out as needed to accommodate wall imperfections. This movement will go away after the installation of trim/casing, resulting in a very strong, sturdy, professional installation.
