Bringsel / referral dummy Bringsel are used in various areas (e.g. rescue dogs, hunting dogs, tracking dogs). The dog should learn to display a find (e.g. a victim or wild) without touching it. For this purpose, the dog catches the bringsel to indicate something to his dog handler. Before the dog begins the search, the collar is attached to its collar. If he finds it, he takes the Bringsel into the catch, searches for his dog handler and thus 'reports' his find. The dog 'refers' his dog handler and is also called "referral" or in this case "bringselver". This training is also often described as 'high school'.
