DiMarzio introduced the world's first replacement pickups for the Fender Jazz® bass at the 1977 NAMM show. DiMarzio invented the double-bridge ceramic magnet structure for extra power and added twin hum coils for less noise. The DiMarzio Model J™ is 50 percent quieter than the original Fender Jazz® bass single coil pickups, and it's 60 percent louder.
