• Watts diaphragm safety valve for closed heating systems (blow-off pressure: 2.5 bar).
• Connections: input: 1/2 inch internal thread x output: 3/4 inch internal thread; max. capacity up to approx. 50 kw.
• Material: press brass CW617N, according to EN 12165-99; diaphragm made of heat- and ageing-resistant material; swivel cap made of impact-resistant plastic; spring made of NiCr steel.
• The blow-off pressure is pre-set at the factory and secured against misalignment by a pressed-in lock washer, which carries the blow-off pressure and the component test mark. The functioning of the safety valve must be tested by an expert once a year: by venting the rotating cap, a manual drain ensures that the valve seat is clean.
• Installation instructions: the diaphragm safety valve must be installed at a point at minimum temperature, at the highest point or in the supply line in the immediate vicinity of the heat generator, observing the direction of the arrow. The connection line of the safety valve must be designed, so that no accumulation of dirt or residues is possible, may not be more than 1 m long, have no restrictions on the cross section and it is not allowed to install shut-off devices.
