Deutzia 'Pink Cloud' is a stunning, low-growing hardy shrub that produces a spectacular display of delicate, star-shaped white flowers with a pale pink blush each spring. Its very compact, spreading habit makes it perfect for brightening the edge of borders, patio pots, or for use as attractive ground cover. This hardy shrub thrives in most soils and creates a long-lasting floral carpet reminiscent of drifting cherry blossoms. It reaches a height and spread of approximately 60cm (24in), making it ideal for small garden spaces. How to Grow: Plant Deutzia in any moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun for the best flowering performance. More Info: Feed and water plants regularly until fully established. Mature plants require minimal maintenance. After flowering, prune flowered shoots back to a pair of healthy buds to encourage new growth. On older plants, remove up to a fifth of the oldest shoots from the base to maintain plant health and vigour. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or other organic matter around the base after pruning to protect roots and improve soil conditions.
