Product description With Shrimp King Color, dwarf shrimps show their most beautiful colours. Many shrimp species, such as Crystal Red, Red Fire, Sakura or Yellow Fire, have a striking body colour in red, orange or yellow. These colours are created by so-called carotenoids. Since shrimp cannot form these dyes themselves, they must be absorbed through food. If they are missing, the colours will gradually fade. Shrimp King Color contains a particularly wide variety of natural carotenoid sources. These include hibiscus flowers, rose hips, sweet peppers, pumpkin, tomatoes and flower pollen. These are complemented by Haematococcus algae, which is rich in astaxanthin - a natural dye that ensures an intense expression of shrimp colours. With regular feeding, the animals develop strong, bright colours and contrasting drawings. The principle is similar to that of the pink flamingos: only if their food contains enough carotenoids, their plumage remains strong pink. If these dyes are missing, the colour will also fade. This is why a targeted supply of shrimp is so important. Shrimp King Color is suitable for all coloured Caridina and Neocaridina species. Especially yellow, orange and red shrimp benefit greatly. But also blue and black species, such as Blue Pearl or Tiger shrimp, develop a more intense colouring thanks to the extra portion of carotenoids.
