Also look amazing as cut flowers indoors. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds, on moist, well-drained soil. Protect young delphiniums from slugs and snails. Feed and water delphinium plants until they are fully established. Delphinium 'Magic Fountains' is a compact variety which should not require staking except on very windy sites. Deadhead faded delphinium flowers to encourage a second flush to be produced. Caution: All parts of delphinium are harmful if eaten and contact with the foliage may irritate the skin and eyes.
