• Large, delicious fruits
• High yields from both varieties
• Suitable for fresh eating or preserving
• Easy to grow and maintain

Indulge in the exquisite taste of home-grown currants with our Currant Duo. This collection features two exceptional varieties known for their exceptionally large fruits and abundant yields. The Blackcurrant 'Big Ben' offers irresistibly sweet berries perfect for enjoying fresh off the bush or incorporating into a variety of culinary delights such as cakes, jams, and crumbles. On the other hand, the Redcurrant 'Rovada' impresses with its generous crops borne in long strings, making harvesting a breeze. To grow these delicious currants, ensure they're planted in a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. While currants thrive in full sun, they can tolerate some shade but should be protected from cold winds and late spring frosts. Plant the bushes during late autumn or spring, spacing them 1.5 meters apart and planting them slightly deeper to encourage additional stem production. Keep the plants well-watered, especially during dry spells, and protect the fruits from birds by netting the bushes. With proper care, you can start harvesting your flavourful currants from July onwards, enjoying a bountiful harvest straight from your own garden. Blackcurrant ‘Big Ben’: Sweet, versatile fruits perfect for fresh consumption or cooking. Redcurrant ‘Rovada’: Produces generous crops of easily harvestable berries, ideal for preserves and desserts.
