The laurel tree egg (also known as the orange tree egg) is a jewel-carved nephrite and an enameled Easter egg that was created in 1911 under the supervision of Russian jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé for Nicholas II. Made by Russia, who gave the egg to his mother, the Empress Maria Feodorovna on 12 April 1911. Inside the tree you can find a small bird. The egg can be used as a jewellery box.
