It features the same Izanas fiber construction that made J Braid so popular, but now features DAIWA's Silicon Coating PE technology to create a smooth, reduced friction braid with hydrophobic properties that increase durability and improve feel. The silicone coating of J Braid Expedition ensures that the braid does not absorb water. This is important, because it means that even the braid does not absorb silt and sediments in the water which are the number 1 cause of the wear of the braided wire over time. Leaking water due to its hydrophobic properties, J Braid Expedition will last longer than traditional braided wires, providing more value and greater performance. The benefits don't stop there, with an incredibly high count of braids, J Braid Expedition is braided tighter than almost any other strand on the market, providing an incredibly round profile braid that won't separate or fray during use.
