Crowcifiction

In 2006 the new line up of Evil Scarecrow re-recorded their debut album in full. Crowcifiction (Re-Crowcified) was completely self-recorded and self-mixed by members of the band, replacing the 2004 recording produced with a previous line up. This album boasts 8 classic Evil Scarecrow tracks including the original version of Robototron and live favourites Morbid Witch and Vampyre Trousers. Crowcifiction was described by PowerPlay Magazine as 'somewhat akin to a blend of Iron Maiden and Cradle of Filth', and happily inspired the reviewer, Chris Kee, to smile rather than grimace and whinge on about proper bands . This was the reaction of the majority of the press who welcomed the humorous take on Heavy Metal along with competent song writing and performance skills. Kee's review went on to say 'Crowcifiction has proved itself to be an album of enjoyable music and entertaining, daft humour' while Metal Hammer proclaimed 'This excellent, Maidenesque black metal group may have one tongue firmly in cheek... but they still Rock!'.
