This vibrant, colourful mixture of Crocus makes a beautiful spring display. Crocus Value Mix can be grown in grass, in large groups, looking especially effective when planted at the base of trees and shrubs, or in rockeries. They have a really natural look when scattered and planted where they fall. For a more compact group of flowers, they can be planted in containers or window boxes which allows the flowers to be appreciated for their jewel-like appearance. Grow crocus in any well drained garden soil in sun or semi shade. Spring flowering crocus bulbs should be planted during the autumn, in large clumps at a depth of 10cm (4") and at a distance of 7cm (3") apart. Alternatively grow them in containers or naturalised in grass. Allow the strap like foliage to die back naturally after flowering. Avoid mowing areas of grass where crocus are naturalised until they have completely died back.
