Unique pure white, lantern shaped blooms hang elegantly from long stalks surrounded by luscious deep green foliage. The thick-petalled, waxy flowers are produced over many months, continuing until the end of summer. This choice shrub makes a unique feature for a sheltered spot in acid soil where it is bound to attract plenty of admirers! Plant in fertile, well-drained and fertile soil in partial shade or sun, as the roots will appreciate being kept cool and shaded as it prefers a sheltered position behind a wall for example. In the late winter, feed with a fertilizer which is slow releasing, and add mulch around the shrub with ericaceous compost, leaf mould and pine needles.
