Crayola Color Alive How does it work? The Crayola Color Alive app works only with Color Alive coloring pages. The app reads your coloring page using your device's camera and then compares it with the pages it has in memory. The app uses the black outlines of the drawings to identify the right page and then bring your drawing to life. What if it doesn't work? This may be due to the way the page is colored, which prevents the application from correctly viewing the black outlines of the drawing and thus identifying the page. Too much use of dark colors such as black, purple and blue can disrupt the identification of the page by the application. Crayola is currently working on updates to the Color Alive app for better page identification. Updates will be available as soon as possible but in the meantime here are some tips to follow to help the app bring your drawing to life: Place your coloring page in a well-lit place before trying to scan it Color the character but leaves some of the background blank to help the app identify and recognize the coloring page. Colors the page with a mixture of bright and bright colors and fewer dark colors. Other tips The Color Alive application requires an internet connection to be able to bring your drawings to life. To allow the app to work on as many devices as possible, some content of the app is downloaded only when necessary. When a special effects pen is scanned, this unlocks the ability to download pages from the album for free (printing from a personal printer).
