- COURGETTE EIGHT BALL F1 SEEDS: Wonderful round courgettes, great to serve stuffed, best harvested from approx. 5cm across. High quality variety which crops heavily over a long period.
- SOW: March to May, HARVEST: July to October, SEEDS: 8 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – March to May. WHERE - In pots of seed compost. HOW - Sow singly into a pot edgeways into the compost. Cover with 1.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20C. Seedlings appear 7-14 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. At 5-6 leaf stage, stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 60cm apart in growing position. HARVEST – July to October. Pick regularly to encourage cropping.
- FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN – May. WHERE - In a well prepared seed bed in growing position. HOW - Sow 2 seeds per position, 60cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. CARE - Thin to one seedling per position. HARVEST – July to October. Pick regularly to encourage cropping. CAUTION - Humans/Pets: If crop is bitter, don't eat or feed to pets.
