Sow seeds from March to May at a depth of 3mm (1/8") in good quality seed compost and cover lightly with vermiculite. Keep in a propagator at 18–25°C (64–77°F) or sealed in a polythene bag. Germination takes 7–15 days. Transplant seedlings into 7cm (3") pots and grow on in cooler conditions until ready for planting outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise plants for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors in full sun in moist, well-drained soil at 45cm (18") spacing. Pinch out growing tips at transplanting to encourage branching and more flowers. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes. Decorative pots are not supplied.
