Clementoni Science & Play RoboBeetle, STEM Toy for Boys, Build a Robot Bug with Edge Detection, Visible Gears & 6 Moving Legs, Ages 8+, Made in Italy, English Version, 75066

• BUILD A BEETLE ROBOT THAT KNOWS WHEN TO STOP: The RoboBeetle isn't just a robot that moves, it's a robot that thinks. Place it on a table and it scurries around on six moving legs, but when it reaches the edge, it detects the drop, stops, and changes direction to avoid falling. Watching that moment happen for the first time, knowing they built the robot responsible for it, is one of those genuinely memorable experiences that makes this kit something special.
• SEE EXACTLY HOW IT WORKS THROUGH A TRANSPARENT BODY: Most robots keep their inner workings hidden. The RoboBeetle doesn't. The upper section of the body is completely transparent, leaving all the internal cogs and mechanisms fully visible while the robot is in motion. Children can watch in real time as the gears drive the legs, observe how movement is generated and transferred, and see the mechanical logic behind every step the beetle takes. A working robot and a live demonstration of robotics, all in one.
• SIX LEGS THAT MOVE JUST LIKE A REAL BEETLE: The leg mechanism is designed to replicate the natural movement of a real beetle as closely as possible, with all six legs working together to produce convincingly lifelike locomotion. As children build the leg assembly, they discover how mechanical systems can be engineered to mimic biological movement, an idea that sits at the heart of modern robotics and one that becomes immediately understandable through this build.
• ENTHRALLING, EDUCATIONAL AND GENUINELY FUN: The RoboBeetle is one of the most engaging robot kits in the range, combining real engineering depth with a finished result that's genuinely entertaining to watch. A meaningful STEM gift for an 8 year old boy who loves robots, creatures and clever mechanisms.
• PART OF CLEMENTONI'S SCIENCE & PLAY ROBOTICS, MADE IN ITALY: This kit belongs to Clementoni's Science & Play Robotics range, designed to introduce children to STEM and robotics through builds that feel like adventures rather than lessons. Made in Italy with the quality and attention to detail Clementoni is known for. A standout gift for boys aged 8 and up who are curious about how robots actually work.

Product Description Bring robotics to life with RoboBeetle, a hands-on STEM building kit that lets children create a moving robot inspired by real insect behaviour. As they assemble the model, children discover how gears, motors and mechanical parts work together to produce movement. Once built, RoboBeetle walks on six legs and reacts to its surroundings, changing direction when it reaches the edge of a surface. The transparent body makes learning even more engaging. Children can watch the internal mechanisms in action, helping them clearly understand how each part contributes to the robot’s movement. This interactive experience encourages curiosity and experimentation. Children can test how the robot behaves, observe cause and effect, and develop problem-solving skills in a fun and accessible way. Designed to be both engaging and educational, RoboBeetle helps build focus, patience and confidence as children complete their robot and see it move independently. Part of the Science & Play Robotics range, this kit is a great introduction to STEM learning. Ideal for parents looking for STEM toys for ages 8 and up, and for children who enjoy building, exploring and discovering how simple robotics can bring ideas to life. Safety Warning Chemical toys Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years. For use under adult supervision
