• The Chain Breakaway Connector is made of two pieces which are fitted to an operating ball chain and pull apart when under pressure.
• Fits 4.5mm diameter ball chain
• 1. Cut a length of chain to double the desired chain drop and connect each end of the chain to the breakaway device. Ensure that the bottom of the chain is going to be no less than 600mm from the floor. 2. Clip the two parts of the safety chain device together.3. Fit the chain to the blind, positioning the breakaway device just below the chain mechanism

This safety device should be used to eliminate the potential strangulation hazard created looped pull chain for Roller, Roman and Vertical Blinds. It is to be used with ballchains with a diameter of 4.5m. The Chain Breakaway Connector is made of two pieces which are fitted to an operating ball chain and pull apart when under pressure. Suitable for Roman Blind Headrail fitted with 1:1 and 1:2 chain mechanism only. 1. Cut a length of chain to double the desired chain drop and connect each end of the chain to the breakaway device. Ensure that the bottom of the chain is going to be no less than 600mm from the floor. 2. Clip the two parts of the safety chain device together. 3. Fit the chain to the blind, positioning the breakaway device just below the chain mechanism. 4. Test the blind to check the chain break will not be obstructed by the chain mechanism. If required, adjust the chain so that the breakaway device doesn't hit the chain mechanism. Children can be strangled if this device is not installed. Always use this device to keep cords or chains out of the reach of children.
