Citrus medica ‘Cedro’, also known as Cedro, Citron, French Lemon, or Lemon Poncil, is a remarkable citrus tree prized for its impressive, aromatic fruit and ornamental appeal. The large, rough-skinned fruits are highly aromatic, with minimal flesh but a thick, flavourful rind perfect for culinary uses. Its sweetly scented flowers and lush evergreen foliage make it a standout feature in any garden or citrus collection. This historic citrus is one of the original clones from which modern citrus trees were developed. Cedro is highly vigorous, flowering throughout the year, and attracts pollinators with its clusters of waxy white flowers. It thrives in a sunny, sheltered position outdoors in summer and can be moved indoors or kept in a frost-free greenhouse during colder months, providing both beauty and fragrance year-round. How to Grow Light: Full sun for best fruiting and flowering. Temperature: Stand outdoors May–October; indoors or greenhouse 4–12°C during winter.
