Christian 100-Knot Prayer Rope 100% Organic Wool

• BLESSED 100-KNOT PRAYER ROPE, handmade of 100% organically produced wool and four wooden beads. Made with prayer by the nuns at the monastery of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God, using double 2-ply yarn, it has medium sized knots. There is a wooden bead after every 25 knots and it is finished with a knotted cross. The hue of the beads may differ slightly from the photo. The prayer rope is wrapped in a decorated eco-friendly paper.
• MADE ACCORDING TO THE ANCIENT MONASTIC TRADITION of tying the knots so that the knots themselves would constantly make the sign of the cross. Each knot contains seven little crosses being tied over and over, which makes it almost impossible to untie. LIMITED STOCK: Since each prayer rope is entirely handmade, it takes a lot of effort and time a prayer rope to be finished. So, please bear in mind that quantities are limited.
• MADE OUT OF 100% ORGANICALLY PRODUCED WOOL: ‘Organic wool’ means that the sheep are treated well and that no pesticides, chemicals or whatsoever are used during the production process. This yarn has excellent uniformity and strength—this classic monastic prayer rope is sturdy and easy to move around for praying. Organic wool is silkier and softer than regular wool, which makes it a perfect aid for an everyday prayer rule. It may be gently stretched to separate the knots.
• DIMENSIONS: Approximate length of the prayer rope to the end of the cross is 15.74". The thickness of each knot is approx. 0.39". WOOL HAS EXCEPTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS: It is light and durable; resilient; self-cleansing; flame resistant; waterproof, and elastic. Wool fibers are so elastic that you can bend it 30.000 times and it will still not have any damages. And the most amazing characteristic of wool, in fact, is that the more you use it, the smoother and silkier it gets.
• THE PRAYER ROPE IS USED in prayer to help the mind concentrate. At each knot, one prayer is said, usually the Jesus prayer, which consists of the following words: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner!”, or simply “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me!” At each wooden bead, the prayer “Hail Mary” or “Most Holy Mother of God, save us!” is usually said. The aim of the prayer is to unite man with God and to fill man’s heart with the light of the divine grace.

A prayer rope is a cord with many knots, which is employed by Christians to count the number of times one has prayed the Jesus Prayer or, occasionally, other prayers. The use of the prayer rope makes it possible to pray the Jesus Prayer unceasingly and without distraction, and it helps to overcome temptations in one’s spiritual struggle in order to fulfill God’s commandments. We were created by God and for God and with Him only can we be fulfilled, in every good sense of the word. God is our parent, and our closest neighbor, and our joy, and our comfort, and our patience, and our perseverance, and our repentance, and our tears, and our prayer, and our love, and our freedom, and our happiness, and our health, and our food, and our drink, and our clothing, and our future, and our goal, and our strength, and―all things ours. It is up to us only to have a good intention, to use the gift of freedom in order to build union with God (through prayer) and to struggle in that direction, while everything else is an act of God’s grace, which cooperates with us.
