Product description Description Cholesterol can be found everywhere in the human body. Most of the cholesterol is mainly produced in the liver and a small part is supplied by food. The human body uses cholesterol for building cell membranes, for production of bile salts and for water conservation for the skin. If the total cholesterol level is 200 mg/dl or below, this result is regarded to be in the normal range. With this Cholesterol Test, it is possible to receive a reliable estimation if the cholesterol level is in the normal range. Why is it important to perform this test? This cholesterol test provides a reliable estimation of whether your overall cholesterol level is within normal limits. How is this test performed? By using the lancet, one drop of blood is taken and placed on the test field. The result can be read out after three minutes by matching the colour of the test field with the colour fields on the card. What does the result tell you? An overall cholesterol level of up to 200 mg/dl (5.2 mmol/l) is the normal level for adults.
