Chilli Pepper 'Basket of Fire' is a prolific fruiting variety that also has a strong ornamental appeal, boasting a neat habit with dense foliage and producing a huge amount of multi-coloured fruits that mature from deep purple through cream and orange to finish a bright red. The plants are perfect for either outdoors or indoors - they do really well on a sunny windowsill or any well lit area inside. Harvested fruits are easy to dry as well as being ideal for fresh use, and measure a spicy 80,000 SHU on the Scoville scale (which is somewhere in between Cayenne and Habanero heat-wise!).
