• Control chafer grubs naturally by treating with Green Gardener Chafer Grub Killer containing millions of natural nematodes.
• This pack contains 50 million natural nematodes (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) that will treat up to 100 sqm of lawn. They are easy to use, effective yet are safe for children, pets and wildlife and the lawn can be used immediatly after application.
• Treat in the Autumn (Sept/Oct) when the chafer grubs are newly hatched as they are the most susceptible to the nematodes PLUS the soil is warm (the treatment needs a soil temp of 12°c) and the grubs are close to the surface.
• HOWEVER you can treat at any other times of the year i.e. in the spring/summer, but the mature chafer grubs are much harder to kill, so you must treat in September as well.

They are also a source of food for large birds i.e. crows and woodpeckers as well as foxes and badgers and these birds and animals do more harm to your lawn by ripping it up to get at the grubs. Directions Mix the nematodes with water, apply to the lawn using a watering can or sprayer, and keep the lawn moist for up to two weeks after application. Apply when chafer grubs are close to the soil surface, typically from July to October, and the soil is warm. Ensure the soil temperature is at least 12°C for effective treatment.
