- CERINTHE MAJOR PURPURASCENS SEEDS: Unusual foliage with purple flowers and sea-blue bracts. A drought tolerant sun lover, great in borders or containers. Also known as Honeywort.
- SOW: February to May, FLOWERS: June to October, the same year. HEIGHT: 60cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 20 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - February to May. WHERE - In trays of moist compost. HOW - Sow thinly. Cover lightly with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at 15-20C. Keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant singly into 7.5cm pots of compost.
- Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Then transplant 25cm apart to flowering position. Keep moist and weed free. FLOWERS - June to October, the same year.
