Product Description The Catit Flower Cat Drinking Fountain comes with a petal top. The petal top has six water pockets from which your cat is able to drink when the fountain is turned on. For your cat's health, it's important that they drink regularly as this supports proper kidney function and helps prevent crystal formation that can lead to urinary tract diseases. Since cats can be very particular about how they drink, Catit designed the flower fountain wtih 3 settings: gentle water flow, bubbling water, or a calm stream. Unlike bowls, the Catit Flower Cat Drinking Fountain only brings filtered, flowing water to the surface. This prevents your cat from drinking contaminated water. Catit's triple-action filter removes magnesium and calcium from drinking water. These minerals can accumlate in your pet's lower urinary tract and cause urinary tract diseases, which are a common health issue in cats. It also removes odours caused by bacteria and chlorine, while filtering out loose hair, sediment and impurities. Note-When a problem occurs, it is usually because the impeller and impeller well in the pump hasn’t been cleaned. They should be cleaned regularly because all kinds of debris collects in there, such as animal hair, saliva and animal food. The impeller should be pulled out completely. Please see the user manual. Both the impeller and the impeller well should be cleaned with a cotton bud. Also, if the customer lives in a hard water area, lime scale can cause a problem. The lime scale clogs the motor up, so it stops working. This can easily be cleaned by soaking the whole pump, in its parts, in a solution of half water and half vinegar for a few hours.
