Castelion Large and Chunky Cast Iron Hat & Coat Hook A strong and chunky hook with a pleasing shape and ball finials. Perfect for an elegant coat rack or for the back of your bedroom door. Cast from solid cast iron with a protective lacquer finish. Dimensions: Backplate measures 85mm (3.3") high by 50mm (2") wide. The hook stands out 125mm (5") from the wall and total height is 115mm (4½") approx. Weight is ⅓ kg approx. How they are made These hooks are "sand cast" - the same process used to make the original Victorian coat hooks. Molten iron is poured into sand moulds, formed using an antique pattern. When cool, the casts are hand-finished and polished. This provides the authentic antique style. How to Care for your Castelion Coat Hook If you feel the hook is getting dirty and covered in grime then you can clean your hook with lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush or cloth.
