4" Wrought Iron Straight Bolt This high quality door bolt has a lovely curved fishtail finger pull. Ideal for bathroom or cupboard doors. These beautiful hand forged items are traditionally made and are an authentic complement to period homes, barn conversions, cottages and for restoration projects. Hand finished to a high quality and forge-blackened with a beeswax finish. These bolts have a tempered spring holding the shaft in place so they can be used vertically as well as horizontally. Dimensions: Backplate is 90mm (3½") by 35mm (1½"). The bolt shaft projects up to 17mm (⅔") beyond the back plate. These items are hand made so every bolt is slightly different. For internal use. Supplied with fixing screws. Straight bolts are most often used for doors which open inwards whereas cranked (or necked) bolts are usually for outward opening doors.
