- ONION SETS RED MIX - Our red onion set mix gives you two fantastic over wintering varieties Red Winter and Electric. Both of these Autumn planting vegetable bulbs are easy to grow and provide good yields growing to a height of 45cm with a spread of 15cm. They produce sweet flavoured shiny red skinned bulbs with crisp pink tinged flesh, perfect for using in casseroles, salads, stir fries and other culinary dishes.
- EASY TO GROW - Onion sets are undemanding and require only occasional watering during particularly dry periods. Grow them in raised garden planters, containers or allotments in any firm, well draining soil in full sun. Plant both of these varieties in the Autumn for harvesting from May to June. To reduce and deter onion fly it is suggested to grow onions along with mint plants.
- HOW TO STORE - These onions will be ready for planting when you receive them, however if you are not garden ready yet, ensure you open the paper bag, store in a cool dark spot and keep away from any pests, it is essential they have airflow and avoid any moisture.
- WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE - This listing includes two different onion varieties, approx. 250g of each variety. As each onion has a different weight, it may not be exact.
