- GOJI BERRY - The Goji berry plant is a fully hardy deciduous shrub botanically known as Lycium barbarum. This fruiting plant, can also be known as the Duke of Argyll’s tea tree and bears nutritious elongated reddish orange berries packed full of vitamins and antioxidants from late Summer to Autumn.
- PACKED WITH GOODNESS - This popular superfood has an amazingly sweet taste as well as plenty of health benefits. Goji berries can be used for making tea, as well as being eaten fresh or dried. Goji berries are ideal for adding to porridge or muesli. It is better to shake the berries from the plant instead of picking by hand. Picking can cause the fruit to oxidize and turn black in colour.
- HARDY PLANT - This garden ready shrub is an extremely tolerant plant. It is able to withstand harsh winds, salty air and droughts coping with a climate from -15°C to 40°C. Plant out in Spring, about May to June time at the earliest, when the temperatures at nighttime are warmer and during the Summer months.
- GROWING CONDITIONS - The Goji berry plant is ideal for growing in large patio pots and in beds or borders. It will happily grow in full sunlight to partial shade in well draining not too rich soil conditions. During the Winter young plants need to be overwintered in a cold greenhouse or on a light airy window sill.
- PERFECT FOR KITCHEN GARDENS & ALLOTMENTS - Ideal for fruit cages, borders or large containers. Can be lightly pruned to maintain shape and encourage fruiting.
