About this item
  • EUONYMUS - Euonymus, commonly known as the Spindle tree are easy to grow, hardy evergreen or deciduous shrubs. Euonymus plants come in many varieties and colours, making them very versatile garden shrubs to suit most situations.
  • HEDGING PLANTS - This three 9cm potted plant mix, provides a wonderful contrast of colour variation. They look tremendous when planted together as a trio. Euonymus is often used as hedging and is ideal for patio pots or for planting in garden borders.
  • GROWING CONDITIONS - Spindle tree plants will thrive in a range of well draining soils from light and sandy, to heavy clay. They can be grown in full sun to partial shade, reaching up to a height between 100-125cm. The best time to plant is during the Autumn or Spring, when the ground is not frozen or waterlogged.
  • ONGOING CARE - Euonymus plants are easy to grow and are trouble free once established. Long dry spells can cause evergreen varieties to shed leaves, which can be avoided with a thorough watering every 7-10 days. When grown as a hedge, to help keep the shape trim 2-3 times a year, between May and late September.
