- AJUGA CHOCOLATE CHIP: Commonly known as Bugleweed is a fully hardy, compact evergreen perennial with a dwarf growing habit. This shrub produces tiny, shiny dark green oval shaped leaves with burgundy highlights, giving them a chocolate coloured appearance.
- SEASON OF INTEREST: Spring to Autumn. During late Spring to early Summer short spikes of bluish, purple flowers form. The blue flowers and attractive coloured foliage, work well when planted along with other rich coloured flowers such as Alchemilla mollis with its yellow blooms.
- EVERGREEN PERENNIAL: Potted Ajuga Reptans Chocolate Chip in 1L Pot. It will reach a height of 30cm with a spread of 50cm. Light Required: Partial Shade. Pot Size: 1L. Watering: Moderate Watering. Ajuga plants are virtually maintenance-free, and do not require any pruning. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps every three years to maintain their vigour.
- GROWING CONDITIONS: This plant will happily grow in partial shade in well draining soil but can grow in sunlight but too much direct sunlight can lead to leaf scorching. Ajuga Chocolate Chip is very low-maintenance, making it ideal for planting in rock gardens or in borders along pathways. It is an attractive weed suppressor and is pollinator friendly. This plant will grow to a height of 30cm with a spread of 50cm.
