Carbeth Plants 50x Camassia Quamash Spring Bulbs
About this item
- CAMASSIA QUAMASH BULBS Camassia quamash, commonly known as Wild Hyacinth, is a hardy Spring flowering perennial bulb known for its elegant spikes of starshaped blue to violet blooms. Flowering in late Spring to early Summer, it adds a graceful vertical element to borders and naturalistic planting schemes.
- HOW TO PLANT CAMASSIA Plant Camassia bulbs in Autumn in fertile, moistureretentive but welldrained soil. They thrive in full sun or partial shade and prefer soil that doesn't dry out completely in Spring. Space bulbs approximately 1015 cm apart and plant at a depth two to three times the height of the bulb. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally as it continues feeding the bulb for next yearโs growth.
- PLANTING POSITION Camassia is perfect for naturalising in meadows, cottage gardens, and woodland edges, where it creates beautiful drifts of colour. It is also effective in flower beds, borders, and even large patio containers.
- EASY TO STORE If you are not ready to plant bulbs now, then store them in a cool, dry, frost free, well ventilated location. A garage, shed, loft or cupboard are ideal. Open the paper bag to allow air to circulate round but leave the bulbs in their bags until ready to plant.
